I applaud any company taking on the challenge of creating a non-alcoholic wine as it's an incredibly difficult task. I purchased the Proxies Tasting Set. The first challenge I had was breaking through the wax seal to get at the cork. You need something sharp to cut it off which can be tricky and maybe even dangerous for some. It makes a mess in the process and clearly doesn't do much in terms of offering a barrier as one of the corks completely fell apart when I tried to open it. Please get rid of the ridiculous wax covering and use a screw top for convenience and quality control. If your goal is to recreate the 'experience' of opening a bottle of wine, I'd recommend you focus on the taste as the wax seal doesn't contribute anything positive. Of course the taste is what really matters and I'm with most of the other reviewers - it's nasty stuff and all of my guests agreed. Sorry Acid League.

"Vinaigrette in a wine glass"
There are a few decent local Canadian wine alternatives out there, and while not 100% a substitute, those give you a bouquet and flavour that mimic wine enough to give your liver a break every so often. Proxies, however are more like 5%. The smell reflects the odd mix of tomato vinegar and tea, and the flavour punch matches it. Honestly feels like this would make a better vinaigrette than anything that should be in a glass. I'm sure their vinegars are great and they should really stick to that. Please!

So horrible. I'm pregnant and thought these would be a good substitute for wine. Literally undrinkable and I'm a bit fan of wine, kombucha, vinegar... but these were awful. Waste of money.
