"good - but uneven delivery & limited food selection"
I so want to love Splendid Spoon, and there's so much good about it; I almost feel like just having a subscription for the AB&J smoothies would be worth it. :P I've had a few TERRIBLE deliveries (picture attached), with the box a day late and things melted and containers open and leaking everywhere. The customer service reps were very apologetic and helpful, but after the second time it happened, it wasn't worth it. I recently restarted it, missing the smoothies and some meals, and was very disappointed. I don't know if it changed or I'd just built up my expectations in the meantime, but I hate the slimy chia seeds in most smoothies, and the crunchy cacao nibs in others (I don't want to be munching my smoothie, thanks...), which is very limiting. I also discovered that the meals I'd craved (looking at you, sweet potato cumin pureé) were nowhere as great as I'd recalled. I ended up throwing out a new-to-me cauliflower dish, just because I really did not like the taste. :/
